More than 300 veterans are expected to attend a military job fair at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Tampa on Jan. 21.
The event, organized by veterans promotional group RecruitMilitary, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Among employers and universities already signed up for booths: A Buyers Choice Home Inspections; American Intercontinental University; the Army National Guard; FastTrain; Florida Career College; Gerdau Ameristeel; Grand Canyon University; the Healthcare Administration of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; ICDC College; LaSalle Learning Center; Merchant's Tire and National Tire & Battery; Plastipak Packaging Inc.; Progressive Insurance Corp.; Pure Air Technologies Inc.; 6th Marine Corps Prior Service Recruiting; Strayer University; and USAA.
Cincinnati-based RecruitMilitary so far has lined up about 60 veterans job fairs nationwide for 2011.
