'68 Buick Skylark Custom
I purchased my 1968 Buick Skylark Custom in the spring of 1968 shortly after returning from the Republic of South Vietnam, where I served with the 4th Infantry Division. Affectionately known as "Old Blue" to some and "Blue" to others, this vehicle has been my one and only car for the past 43 years. A four-door hardtop with a Maui blue exterior and a black vinyl interior, equipped with a 350cc engine and a 4-barrel carburetor, "Blue" has provided me and many others with over 386,000 miles of pleasurable and reliable travel. It was used to transport the bride and groom in several weddings through the years, including my daughter's, my brother's and, of course, mine.
