BRANDON — Calvin Rucker and his wife, Felicia, have made healthy eating more convenient for many Brandon residents.
The Ruckers recently opened the area's first Saladworks franchise. The chain, which is based in the Philadelphia area, has locations up and down the east coast of the United states that offer salads, soups and beverages.
The Brandon Saladworks, at 2020 W Brandon Blvd., in the Brandon Lakes Plaza near Outback Steakhouse, opened March 26. Calvin Rucker said he soon plans to start delivery service.
"We just wanted to get things up and going before we started delivery," he said. "We're looking at delivery in a 5-mile radius."
Of course, customers are still welcome to dine in the restaurant or pick up a to-go order.
